A "." represents any letter (like a blank tile).
Hit Return or the Lookup button to show the matched words.
For example: "phlree" will return "helper"
The "Pattern" box can contain letters, a "." to represent any letter and a "*" to represent any character string (including nothing). The found word will then have to match the pattern as well as have letters from the above boxes. Some examples:
